Wayne County Public Schools

Wayne County Public School system is one of the largest in southeastern North Carolina! We serve over 19,200 students in kindergarten through 12th grade and our goal is to provide a quality education for each student. We are proud of our 31 schools and the opportunities they offer to students. Wayne County Public Schools have a reputation for academic excellence, active parental and community involvement, and sound fiscal management. Children entering kindergarten or first grade or transferring to the Wayne County Public School System will need the following:

  • A certified copy of the child’s birth certificate
  • Immunization Records
  • Proof of address
  • Social Security card
  • Health form that must be filled out by your doctor
